๐ More About Me
As a researcher, I’m deeply engaged in the fascinating world of robotics and AI ethics, exploring how technology can be shaped to benefit everyone. My work involves understanding and designing robots that are safe, fair, and useful for people from all walks of life. AI is undoubtedly the future, and while its transformation is rapid, it needs regulation, not hindrance; fairness, not prohibition; and explainability to make this powerful technology understandable to the majority.๐จโ๐ฆ Family Time
Away from work, my world lights up with the adventures I share with my playful 5-year-old son. From building imaginative Lego masterpieces to dreaming up fantastical robots, our time together is full of creativity and laughter.๐จ Hobbies and Interests
I am an enthusiastic lawn tennis player, relishing the thrill and challenge of the game. Cycling is another of my passions, providing a great workout and the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. At home, Iโm known as the handyman, particularly skilled in fixing electronics, cars, and computers. Thereโs a unique satisfaction in tinkering with gadgets and reviving them.๐ Background and Journey
My journey into robotics and AI was not linear. I have always been fascinated by the intersection of technology with our everyday lives and society at large. This curiosity drove me to pursue a STEM career, starting with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, followed by a Master’s in AI. I recently embarked on my PhD journey to contribute to the development of more inclusive and ethical technological advancements.๐ฑ Personal Philosophy
I am a staunch believer in lifelong learning and maintaining curiosity. Whether it’s through reading, engaging with diverse communities, or simply observing the world around me, I constantly seek new perspectives that enrich both my personal life and professional endeavors. -

What I'd do with the prize money:
Well haven’t given much thought about it….probably I would invest in creating an interactive robotics workshop for local schools. The workshop would introduce students to the basics of robotics and AI ethics, fostering a hands-on learning experience…
Engaging in ethical discussions in the realm/domains of HRI/Robotics, students can learn the importance of inclusive and responsible technology…this initiative would aim to “inspire” and create awareness in the next generation of STEM enthusiasts and ethical thinkers… -
Education:
High School I went to Standard Model Public Highschool in Sialkot, Pakistan, where I really liked studying science and got great grades.
College After that, I studied more science and math at Leadership Colleges Network in Sialkot, Pakistan.
University I got my Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering at NUST in Islamabad, Pakistan. This is where I started loving engineering and technology.
Master’s Degree I went to the UK for my Master’s in Artificial Intelligence at Cranfield University. Here, I learned a lot about AI and did a cool project on drones for farming.
PhD Now, I’m studying for my PhD at Kingโs College London and visiting Imperial College London. Iโm learning about making AI and robots safe and fair for everyone. -

If you had 3 wishes for yourself what would they be? - be honest!
Well, this is one of those questions that really gets you thinking because our wish lists are endless. As humans, we naturally aspire to succeed in whatever we pursue. So, my wishes would be: 1) To make impactful advancements in robotics and AI ethics, ensuring that technology benefits all sections of society equally. 2) To find a harmonious balance between my professional achievements and quality time with my family. And finally, 3) To educate and inspire future generations about the importance of ethical and fair technological practices in AI and robotics, thereby promoting equality and inclusion in the tech world.
Tell us a joke.
why is achieving fairness in the world like a group project in school? everyone agrees it's a great idea, but not everyone wants to do their part of the work
