Haha I am currently trying to publish a paper with my most innovative thing. Maybe I will be able to reply in a week if it is accepted for publishing. I will say that in order to be innovative in research we first have to read a lot of the other published papers in the field and identify their flaws or areas that you can improve on. Some people see this stage as tedious others see it as a great opportunity to learn.
I’ve applied several types of human biosignal (e.g. electromyography from muscle movement, heart-rate, breathing rate, etc.) to a variety of machine learning models in order to determine the current health status of a person and where they are located in a space. That was really good fun because I got to play with the hardware to acquire that data in the first place and then to examine and process the data before applying machine learning to it. I don’t know if it’s the most innovative thing, but I certainly enjoyed doing it.
