Carl Peter Robinson answered on 1 Feb 2024:
Yes, definitely! I love the inquisitive mind of Richard Feynman, an inspirational physicist who sadly passed away a while ago. I also find the people who built the personal computer industry back in the late 1970s and into the 1980s an amazing group of people, including those at Xerox PARC, Apple, and Microsoft.
Today it would be the following:
– Those pushing artificial intelligence research at DeepMind, led by Demis Hassabis.
– Max Tegmark and Stuart Russell, who campaign for AI safety and a ban on use of AI in weapons.
– Hannah Fry, Jim al-Khalili, and the team on The Infinite Monkey Cage radio show, who make science and technology popular, to engage with the general public.

Yes, I do often when doing my research. I go after the people to find out more about what they have done. It is not always the famous people. Any motivated and committed person can do good research.
