      This is a great and important question. Yes- there are certainly ethical dilemmas. One big dilemma is that it is important to make sure that any AI is safe, effective, reproducible, and an improvement on other existing methods. We need to know that AI works in expected ways and that we can understand how it works. Clinical trials are used to check this.

      Another dilemma is to ensure AI algorithms do not contain bias.

      Another dilemma is with data sharing. AI requires a large amount of data to train a model, and patient data must be shared safely and securely.

      Medical research must have ethical approvals in place.
