Question: can ai make food

What a great question! Of course to make food it would need to be part of a robot that has access to ingredients and kitchen equipment. And it would have to have an electronic tongue and nose (although some people can cook well without tasting their food). But there’s no reason why an AI couldn’t make food!

I’m not sure about this. I think it could certainly make a meal as long as the AI control system is given the right training data and that the AI system is housed in a robot of course, with all the necessary manipulators and sensors to enable it to use utensils and choose and prepare ingredients.
I am dubious of how well such a meal would taste though, given that so much of cooking is reacting to what is going on by smelling, tasting, and observing. Whether an AI cook can deliver the same level of skill as an actual chef, I am not so sure for now. But hey, I’m sure the future and some great scientists will prove me wrong. Maybe you’re one of those scientists in the making! How would you solve this problem to create an AI system that can cook a tasty meal? It’s always cool to explore ideas like this.
