This question raises some interesting points. Mainly for me, it highlights the new plethora of job titles that have appeared in the last few years that incorporate AI as part of their requirements. If you look on job websites like LinkedIn and do a search for “machine learning”, “artificial intelligence”, or “data science” you will find all kinds of jobs that request similar skillsets but have varying job titles. Here are some examples:
      – Machine Learning Engineer
      – Machine Learning Researcher
      – Machine Learning Architect
      – Data Engineer
      – Data Scientist
      – Artificial Intelligence Researcher
      – Research Software Engineer

As you can see, they all look pretty similar in name, but they mainly incorporate “machine learning”, “data” or “artificial intelligence” into their titles.

In terms of industries, AI skills are becoming a factor in lots of them (e.g., banking and finance, healthcare, education, gaming, robotics, retail, defence, government, and many more). Companies and organisations are looking to take advantage of these new tools and systems, and the knowledge and skills prospective candidates can offer.
