Thank you for the question! There are different ways that AI is being used in biosciences.
The one I’m working on is in the analysis of bio images! So this means we use computer vision models to analyse the images of biological specimens, sometimes as small as molecules!Other applications include something analysis and inference from large amounts of genetic data, or protein data! These are the fields of “omics” (genomics, proteomics)
There’s so many different applications and it’s such a good tool to advance the science and get rid of more boring parts so the scientists can thing about the proper questions and not so much on how to do the small steps to get the answers!
